KICC Camp makes it big on Sunrise!
Did you see KICC Camp on TV? The Superhero's themed Camp at Yarramundi was for Kids Impacted by a Carer’s Cancer (KICC) and was made extra special by a visit from the Sunrise team.
Weatherman James Tobin joined in all kinds of fun activities and showed Australia why Camp Quality Camps are so much fun, and a vital break for kids facing the cancer of a loved one.
James was joined by Reidy from Bondi Rescue who came to celebrate the awesome partnership between Camp Quality and BAND-AID® Brand Adhesive Bandages. The two had a great time racing each other on the high ropes and meeting Camp Quality kids.
Did you know BAND-AID® Brand Adhesive Bandages are bringing out a new Camp Quality-themed BAND-AID® range? With brightly-coloured, fun and expressive faces on each strip – the pack encourages little kids and big kids at heart to find a Giggle (Camp Quality Mascot) BAND-AID® in every box and for everyday Australians to embrace their bravery, just like Camp Quality kids.
Kids on camp loved giving the new range a try!
A bunch of fun activities took place over the weekend including a huge flying fox, a movie night with popcorn and a reptile show. Most importantly, kids facing the diagnosis of a mum, dad or carer got to have a break from cancer and just be kids again.
Summer, Coco and Mia were in the same cabin and became friends straight away.
Mia said that making new friends was her favourite part of camp.
