WesCarpade a huge success!

Known as Western Australia’s happiest outback motoring adventure, wesCarpade did not disappoint, raising over $160,000 for Camp Quality. The eight-day outback challenge saw 24 teams cover over 2,500 kms in creatively decorated vehicles. Teams included the Batmobile, Shrek’s Car and the Croc Hunters!

The adventure started in Carnarvon and ended in Port Denison with plenty of incredible scenery, laughs and adventures in-between. “Naked” yoga, fishing, themed dinners, a blow-up crocodile and a glitter bomb initiation were just some of the highlights experienced by the fun-loving participants.

Two blown tires and some tricky terrain didn’t get our adventurers down as they all persevered to the end of the challenge.

It was a wild adventure with participants putting in their full heart and inner larrikin to raise money for children impacted by cancer. Many participants have faced cancer themselves or through a loved one and continue to bring the spirit and laughs to wesCarpade, making it an exceptional event. Massive thanks to all that participated, and we hope to see you next year!

About Camp Quality

Camp Quality gives kids facing cancer the chance to be kids again. Our services and programs are made specifically to help children 0 -13 who are dealing with their own diagnosis, or the diagnosis of someone they love, like a brother, sister, mum or dad. We are there for them through the daily ups and downs of cancer, providing opportunities to laugh, make friends and have new adventures. By creating positive memories, Camp Quality helps change the cancer story for kids and their families: in-hospital, at home, at school and away from it all.
In 2018 Camp Quality raised funds to ensure over 8,000 kids who were registered for our services and programs had the chance to just be kids again. We do not receive any substantial financial support from the Australian, State or Territory Governments.  Instead we rely almost entirely on the generosity of everyday Australians and corporate partners to help us provide services and programs free of charge.
